Understanding the Globalization Project: 10 Essential Factors

In this thought-provoking seminar, we will embark upon an exploration of how and why the globalization project has become our dominant worldview and the unquestioned model for how we fashion our everyday lives. Using a systems approach and drawing on our own experiences, we will uncover 10 interrelated factors that are necessary for the implementation and perpetuation of the globalization project. With this greater understanding our group will exchange views on who benefits and who loses in this complex phenomenon and engage in a lively dialogue about alternative sustainable and equitable paths for our shared human future.

Dr. Denise R. Ames is a life-long educator who has taught history and global issues for universities, colleges, public schools, and community groups. She currently is engaged in a Global Awareness Education Project, a campaign to encourage greater global awareness and creative action.
